You can also use the PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player anywhere you have access to broadband internet Wi-Fi with at least 5 Mbps for usage*. For a better gaming experience, a high-speed connection of at least 15 Mbps is recommended. If you use public Wi-Fi, keep in mind that you have no influence on the quality of the internet connection. This may affect your playing experience.

Is a PlayStation Plus membership required to use the PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player and PlayStation® Remote Play?

No, PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player and PlayStation® Remote Play do not require a PlayStation Plus membership**. If you are using Remote Play to play a game that requires a PS Plus membership to access multiplayer, you must have an active membership to use that game's multiplayer features.

Can someone else use the TV my PS5 is connected to while I'm using the PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player?

Yes No problem. For example, someone else in your household can watch a show or a movie on the TV while you use the PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player to play your favorite compatible games on the beautiful 8-inch HD screen.
